One Year Later

It’s wild to think that I began Top Hat a year ago this time of year with a leap of faith, a new line of credit with Amazon, and a calm reassurance from the husband.  I have a great many people to thank for this chance to live a dream I never thought possible.

Thank you to my not so tiny Zoe, who has always pushed me to be the best I can be so maybe she can grow up to be a force both of good and one to be reckoned with.  Live your dreams, baby.

Thank you to the rock of my life, the center of my universe, Jordan.  You cannot grasp or understand how fundamentally this could not have come to reality without your support.  You are my everything, my best friend, and I will do my best to keep it chugging along.  To the moon and back, forever and always.

Thank you to my friends and family who have supported me both directly with a wide range of work and just with raw encouragement.  You have been the voices that kept me going when things felt so big and scary.  I love you all so much.

To Grammie.  I miss you everyday and am so very glad I can keep some part of you and our time together alive.

To the Lord, for being the absolute bedrock that keeps me sturdy even when the world feels like chaos.  All glory to Him, from Whom all blessings flow.

And, thank you so very much to you.  The people who chose to work with me over this last year, despite not knowing me from Adam.  Those who came strangers and quickly became friends.  I have so enjoyed helping you all feel good in your clothes, to regain whole items from the pieces of loved but damaged things, to make dreams and ideas into tangible products.
